A Houston photographer died Tuesday in a crash that left a car ablaze in southwest Houston, authorities said.
A person who lives on the block of East Ninth Street where the crash occurred has been identified as Jonathan Leder, 43.
Witnesses say they saw a sedan go into the path of a truck on East Ninth.
A vehicle traveling northbound on Seventh Street went off the road, and the driver crashed into the southbound car, the Houston Fire Department said.
The driver of the car suffered minor injuries, but was taken to the hospital.
Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo said the driver of that car was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
Authorities were not immediately releasing any details about the cause of the crash.
