A photographer who has shot some of the most iconic images of the past year, including President Donald Trump, could make an impression at the Academy Awards next year, according to a new poll.
The Huffington Post asked Americans if they would like to hear from a group of 25 photographers on their favorites in the next year of the Oscars.
Many of the names on the list, including photographers like Andy Warhol, John Ford, David Fincher and Andy Warham, were the subject of controversy during the Oscars season.
Some of the nominees were also nominated by the Academy in past years.
In 2018, Michael Moore, who also has worked as an actor, won for best director.
The same year, Woody Allen was the winner for best actor in a drama for his portrayal of Trump.
And this year, two of the winners are African-American men.
James Baldwin won best actor for his role in “Selma.”
Andrea Bocelli won best actress for her role in the documentary “Fame, Shame and Glory,” which chronicles the 2016 election cycle.
